Planters Bunch began in 1983, after Hurricane Alicia, when several SEA ISLE residents decided to try to enhance the beauty of the subdivision through floral planting and landscaping in the public areas. From that beginning, Planters Bunch has grown to now having over 250 member families.
Planters Bunch sponsors numerous events and activities each year, such as Shrimp Boils, Fish Fries, Crawfish Cook-offs, Rummage/Bake/Jewelry Sales, Harvest Parties, Fourth of July Boat Parades and Golf Cart Parades, and Yard of the Month Awards, to name a few. All revenue generated from these events is returned to SEA ISLE in the form of community improvements.
Aluminum Can Recycling bins are located under the Sea Isle office building. Please recycle your aluminum cans. Planters Bunch collects money for the cans and returns it to the community via projects done in Sea Isle.
Membership
Planters Bunch membership is only $25 per year and is open to all SEA ISLE residents, former residents, and friends of SEA ISLE. Meetings are held in selected months at the SEA ISLE Fire Station on the first Saturday each month (except July and August), at 11:00 a.m. Entertaining and Educational programs, great lunches and beverages, and good old neighborhood visiting are always on the meeting agenda. Please join Planters Bunch and find out how much fun you can have and how much better we can make our island community. Make your $25 check payable to Planters Bunch and mail to Mildred Hunt, Treasurer, 6315 Sea Isle, Galveston, TX 77554, or take your membership check by the SEA ISLE office. Please include your SEA ISLE street address and phone number for our membership list.
