Short Term Rental Issues? 

Galveston has a new hotline for help with issues relating to short term rentals. The number for the call center, which went live on Friday, July 14th, and will be available 24/7, is 409-247-8160. If you have issues with noise, trash, too many cars, too many people, or any other problem, call the number.  The Galveston Park Board has mandated that each STR have a "one hour contact," or a person that can respond to complaints within one hour.  Plus, if the STR is not registered, they will have to get registered. 

Additionally, Galveston has spent 1.2 million on software that will search the web for STR advertisements and match them to their registration database.  The City thinks this will be a big money maker as they track down rogue STR's.

This website provides a place where owners and residents can discuss the neighborhood, register their pets, share recipes, list ads for services and items for sale, reserve the park pavilion, and so many other things.
